Our Background

Steel Wood Furniture Limited, originally Steel Fabricators Limited, was established in 1989 as a general fabrication and mechanical engineering business. For more than 30 years, we have worked tirelessly to increase our capabilities and polish our reputation as an industry leader in Uganda. We have since grown beyond general fabrication into manufacturing shelving and furniture as well as the fabrication of steel structures.

As a family-owned business, we have a special heritage and take great pride in manufacturing innovative, reliable, durable products. We have always has a very strong contribution towards local manufacturing and are fully in compliance with Buy Uganda Build Uganda (BUBU).

We believe the only way to build a quality product is to be in control of the entire process, which is why we make what we sell – from raw materials through to customer delivery and every step in between. Our in-house design and construction assures product excellence and cost efficiency, using only the highest quality materials. Finally, we greatly value our clients and endeavour to save them time, money and extra work by using our expertise to recommend exactly the right solution for them. Our entire team shows an uncompromising dedication to customer service, long after the sale is done which is done through continuous development.

Our Products and Services

We manufacture state of the art racking, shelving and storage systems for everything from small stores to large supermarkets and warehouses. Our range includes: slotted angle shelving, compact mobile shelving, heavy-duty shelving, medium-duty shelving, pallet racking shelving and supermarket shelving. We also fabricate steel structures, burglar proofing, main gates, railings, scaffolding and building jacks and construction machinery, in addition to custom-built school, home, office, and restaurant furniture.

More products and services are to be added to the product list with time. Most recently, we have invested heavily towards automation and we have now equipped our factory with state-of-the art CNC machinery which includes CNC Plasma, CNC laser and CNC Router machines.
